Here is a little information on what to expect as a new patient and some other information about our Peoria practice. Financial Information
A Glowing Smile accepts most major medical insurance. We also accept cash, all major credit cards and we offer enrollment into Care Credit which is a nationally recognized financing option for our patients.
New Patient Information
New patients will undergo a comprehensive dental exam on their initial visit. Dr. Erin Maruska will personally evaluate all new patient's oral health and make determinations about treatment. Included in dental exams and check-up exams are the following:
-Examination of diagnostic digital X-Rays: This is vital for detecting decay, tumors, cysts and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth an root positions. A Glowing Smile uses state of the art digital X-Ray processing equipment so that you will be able to visually see your X-Rays on a flat screen computer at your appointment.
-Oral cancer screening: Dr. Maruska will check your face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
-Gum disease evaluation: Your gums and bone around the teeth will be evaluated for any signs of periodontal disease.
-Examination of tooth decay: All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay with special dental instruments.
-Examination of existing restorations: We will take a look and assess your current fillings, crowns, etc... After this very thorough dental exam, Dr. Erin Maruska and team will be able to address your oral health and future treatment needs
